Responsibilities
- Develop SAS programs to automate data extraction, transformation, and analysis processes for financial datasets.
- Design and implement statistical models and algorithms to support financial forecasting, risk assessment, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data and analysis requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports and analyses.
- Optimize SAS code for performance and efficiency, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAS programming and financial analysis techniques.
- Provide technical support and expertise to users of SAS applications, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
- Document SAS programs, processes, and methodologies to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SAS programming language, including data step programming, SQL, macros, and SAS procedures for statistical analysis.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts and methodologies, such as risk management, portfolio optimization, and financial modeling..
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Certification in SAS programming or related field is a plus.
