Job Title: Millwright - Mining Equipment Deconstruction
Department: Operations
Reports To: Millwright Foreman
Job Summary:
The Millwright is responsible for the disassembly, installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of machinery and equipment within the mining operation. This role requires a strong understanding of mining processing equipment and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
2.Disassemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in the mining operation.
3.Communicate with supervisors and other workers to diagnose problems and to coordinate work activities.
4.Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
5.Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Millwright certification.
OSHA certification.
Must be 18 to apply
Proven experience as a Millwright in the mining industry.
Strong understanding of mining mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Valid driver's license with no major violations in the prior (5) five years.
Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
Cold & heat tolerance: Ability to work in low/high temperatures for extended periods. This includes the ability to maintain focus and physical performance in cold/hot conditions.
Pass pre-employment and random drug testing as required.
