Overview: We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects. Your expertise in estimating costs and managing budgets will contribute to the success of our projects. Duties: - Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required - Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes - Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed cost breakdowns - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges or opportunities for cost savings - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular updates to project stakeholders - Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors - Collaborate with the construction management team to develop strategies for cost control and value engineering Skills: - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques - Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid - Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate costs and quantities - Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex project plans and specifications - Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders including project managers, architects, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors - Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in project management principles Join our team as a Construction Estimator and contribute your expertise to our successful construction projects.
