ABOUT THE JOB:

The Tool and Die Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, managing, maintaining, and improving

the tooling inventory for the overall manufacturing process. This role requires strong

leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of

quality and safety. Utilization of lean manufacturing techniques is required.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Lead process improvement initiatives around tooling maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain die, mandrel and backrod inventories. Establish and maintain lean system for updating and maintaining on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a record of tooling usage and wear for prescribed tooling components.
  • Inspect tooling for disposition.
  • Monitor tooling inventory levels and coordinate the procurement of new tools and supplies
  • as needed.
  • Develop and implement tooling processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and
  • quality.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine reasons for tool performance issues and
  • develop corrective action plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure Operator training and proficiency
  • after training in the tooling area.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Work with Subject-Matter-Experts in tooling and drawing to ensure proper tool care and
  • maintenance is ongoing. Drive continuous improvement on existing tooling processes.
  • Can source or perform backrod, die and mandrel repairs as is necessary to maintain
  • inventories
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and
  • healthy work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

· Associates degree preferred or three (3) years of related manufacturing experience required.

· Proficiency with MS Office required.

· AutoCad and/or Solidworks a plus.
