The Facilities Director is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and Regional Vice President, and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise.

Oak Grove Senior Apartments (formerly Plaza del Sol)is comprised of 2 neighboring buildings, totaling 142 apartment homes for SENIORS.

The Facilities Director is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and Regional Vice President, and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise.

We are looking for a reliable leader who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.

Requirements :

• Working with Community Director in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Community Director.
• Assisting management staff in carrying out the implementation of various policies, standards, procedures and programs relating to the overall maintenance and upkeep of property.
• Capable of communicating effectively with employees, residents, vendors and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly (within 24 hours) and efficiently.
• Expected to share the on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
• Any other related task assigned by Community Director.

Qualifications :

• 5 years property maintenance experience.
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• HVAC certified and strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
• Must have his / her own tools.
• It is essential that ALL maintenance personnel report to work at his / her regularly scheduled work hours, have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.

Oak Grove Senior Apartments is comprised of 2 towers with 142 apartment homes for SENIORS. Christian Village Apartments is right down the road and has 150 apartment homes for SENIORS.

The Maintenance team is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and / or Facilities Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise.

Summary of Requirements : Maintenance Technician

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Must have his / her own tools.
• A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation is strongly preferred.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience. It is essential that the Maintenance Technician report to work at his / her regularly scheduled work hours, and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
