Job Title: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team for fee for service rate . As a key member of our healthcare facility, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients in need.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe and manage appropriate medications for mental health disorders
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals and groups
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
- Current valid Nurse Practitioner license
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working in an outpatient psychiatric setting preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems documentation
- Ability to perform procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, and administering injections
- Physical ability to lift and assist patients when necessary
