Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a intro-level Research Associate position at Altay Therapeutics. The Research Associate will be responsible for conducting in vitro screening assays to support drug discovery and development. The required day-to-day tasks includes: nucleic acid extraction from mammalian cells, extensive experience running qPCRs, extensive experience with mammalian cell culture, sandwich ELISAs, transient transfection of mammalian cells, reporter gene assays, cell toxicity (CC50) assays, western blotting, analyzing data, maintaining detailed records, and contributing to scientific presentations.

Not required but nice to have qualifications include, fluorescence imaging, flow cytometry (cell cycle analysis, caspase cleavage, and cell sorting), protein purification, in vivo experience particularly with dosing mice.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in drug discovery and development
• Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related field
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment operation
• Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
