Renewable Properties is Hiring a Remote Asset Manager

Renewable Properties is seeking to bring on a talented Asset Manager to effectively collaborate and support the financing and asset management of the Company’s solar projects across the United States. The candidate will provide analytical and process support throughout the solar project life cycle. S/he will be responsible for performing transaction analysis, contract management/negotiation, portfolio level reporting, performance analysis, regulatory submittals, maintenance initiatives, and other asset management functions. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in developing Renewable Properties’ success during this exciting time of rapid growth in a changing and impactful industry.

This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA, and is open to remote work.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the asset management, both from a financial and operational perspective, of a portfolio of operating solar projects. Future opportunities to work with storage and EV charging assets.
  • Drive improvements in financial and operational metrics to maximize the value of operating assets.
  • Interface with energy offtakers to optimize distribution of operating revenues.
  • Manage the ongoing O&M and warranty relationships for projects.
  • Optimize asset performance. Drive performance improvement initiatives.
  • Build process, structure, and work products to support management and reporting of operating assets – including preparation of operating performance summary reports for financing parties.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive project, fund, and fleet level reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting basis as needed.
  • Identify, own, and communicate solutions to complex operational issues, and work with team members to identify lessons learned and improve future projects.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating project budgets, models, P&L, and contract amendments.
  • Ensure portfolio is performing at or above forecasted production (review performance reports, work with O&M provider to investigate issues and initiatives to improve performance).
  • Compile financial statements/info and work with accounting/finance.
  • Support selection of third-party service providers and negotiation of contracts.
  • Research ways to improve fleet performance by utilizing new technologies, initiatives, and partnerships.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in asset management, business management, contract negotiations and management, or operations roles, in Solar PV or Renewable Energy industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, pride in work product, communication and organization skills.
  • Experience in reviewing financial reports and providing detailed analysis. Familiarity with industry-accepted solar project agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driven, resourceful and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment. Curiosity and passion for driving the renewable industry forward.
  • Ability to dive into solar asset performance data and provide process, equipment, reporting, and management improvements.
  • Problem solver that is driven towards process improvement
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
