One (1) year of experience in a mental health field OR completion of a social work, marriage family therapy or professional clinical counselor practicum program within an SBHG agency. Experience should be with children or adolescents in residential or outpatient settings preferred. Two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health field; Children or adolescent in residential or outpatient setting preferred. Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as AMFT, APCC, ASW OR LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license in California. Valid California Driver's License. How you will make a difference (job overview): This position has primary responsibility for providing mental health services and case management services to children or adolescents and their families referred to Community Services. Services may include engagement, assessment, evaluation, individual/family/group therapy, and case management. The position acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical and support staff. In addition, the position documents and bills for mental health and case management services and completes outcomes information. Starlight Community Services is a union environment Division/Program Overview: The program sees adults (18 ) and older adults. It is a FULLY community-based program - all services happen at a person's home or community. The clients have complex needs - medication, housing, vocational, independent living and mental health. The intensity for services for each client is about 10 hours per month and once we are fully up and running, we'll have a census of about 50 adults. We are preparing to also start an Adult Outpatient Program which this position would oversee as well. Eventually, this position will have all our Adult programs, including IHOT.
