What you will do:
  • Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
  • Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be received, moved, or staged.
  • Collect and pick all materials including customer orders using the pick ticket.
  • Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the receiving process.
  • Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and stocking.
  • Use Eclipse to confirm receiving and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for stocking.
  • Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive the materials.
  • Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
  • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate industrial truck or electric forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.
  • Perform regular counting of inventory, including running off wire and inspecting items for damage.
  • Communicate when supply inventory levels are low.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
What you will bring:
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D), or 2-4 years of related warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
  • Ability to operate hand tools including wire cutting equipment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
  • Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
  • Must be a team player and abide by IES's strong core values and beliefs.
  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing. Able to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
  • Problem-solving skills include collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Able to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
  • Stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift (up to 100% of the time).
  • Climb ladders safely, work in dusty and dirty conditions; handle and store hazardous materials; clean and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Location: San Leandro, CA
Work hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Salary Range:
  • This is a non-exempt position and pays between $18.41 - $24.57 per hour.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
