Description

Western Roofing Service, a Tecta America company, has an immediate need for an Project Manager / Estimator. The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for bidding of repair and reroofing opportunities and all aspects of project management from conception to completion.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor degree (BS) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school preferred, but it is not required.
• Knowledge of roofing systems is preferred, but is not requires.
• Experience or strong interest in the constriction trades is recommended.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

• Ability to communicate well, both written and orally, simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, along with basic geometry.
• Proficient use of internet explorer, Outlook Internet software, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager :

• Work with superintendents to determine labor production capabilities.
• Work with production personnel to understand production processes.
• Review assigned plans and specs to establish basic material and labor requirements.
• Understand contract information and customer requirements.
• Work with other project manager / estimators to determine how to order materials and secure subcontractors.
• Review and approves invoices, materials slips, and purchase orders.
• Review contracts and proposals to verify that they comply with company policy and meet intended scope of work.
• Maintain open communication with clients to clearly convey progress of project and minimize unresolved issues.
• Clearly understand schedules, document change orders, prepare submittals, promote safety and quality control.
• Understand and maintain company policies.
