We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Aide to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in the San Pedro, CA area. The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $19 to $23 the hour. As a Special Education Aide you'll have the opportunity to positively impact students' educational journey. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Location: San Pedro, CA 90731
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time (School Operating hours)

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 60 college units or an AA/AS degree preferred
- One year of experience is preferred.
- Coursework at an accredited institution of higher education in child development, education and/or psychology is highly desirable
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Provide one-on-one support to assigned student(s) with diverse learning needs, including academic assistance and/or physical support as required.
- Maintain consistency in daily routines to support student stability.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom activities and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff to coordinate support for students.
- Foster a gentle and supportive environment for students to encourage positive behavior.
- Attend meetings and training, as scheduled
- Performs related tasks as required.
- Pass background check & live-scan.
- Current negative TB test result
- Have reliable transportation.
- Unpaid, off-duty meal period of at least 30 minutes before 5th hour of work.
