Meritage Homes Corporation is Hiring a Purchasing Coordinator Near Sandy, UT

Responsibilities
We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator in our Utah division to focus on the following:
  • Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing:
  • Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy.
  • Manage all "bid documents" including plans, scopes of work, specifications, design packages, exterior colors in preparation for bidding.
  • Review and ensure all "bid documents" are complete and accurate including managing delta revision and updates.
  • Manage vendor master ensuring all vendor data is current and complete. (master in sales force and locally in excel)
  • Track and manage vendor onboarding process for all division vendors and trades.
  • Coordinate Bid process including creating the bid document packages, assist with questions pertaining to "bid documents" and ensure vendors return bids in a timely manner.
  • Assist Director of Purchasing with spreading bids via spreadsheets and bid analysis.
  • Responsible for contract pricing entry into E1 and requesting and tracking budget tickets.
  • Research and resolve vendor disputes, including product or pricing issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies.
  • Assist in base house cost, design packages and option cost and price analysis with an emphasis in new communities.
  • Archive bid documents into the Meritage central archive system.
  • Run monthly reporting requirements including monthly close outs, gross margin backlog and base house cost reports.
  • Assist the Operations team with managing the Production Matrix on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate production starts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a purchasing/administrative role.
  • Degree strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products with excellence in Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce and E1/JD Edwards software a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction documents.
  • Experience with large project bidding and bid events a plus.
  • Enjoy a fast paced, high-volume work environment.
