Job Title: HR CoordinatorLocation: Santa Clara, CAPay: $26-30/hour DOE
Employment Type: Contract to HireOverview:We are seeking a dynamic HR Coordinator to join our client’s team and act as a vital bridge between HR and our Center programs, ensuring a positive impact across the agency. This role will focus primarily on talent acquisition and onboarding while supporting other HR functions such as benefits, talent management, HRIS, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about learning and adapting and will play a crucial role in building a best-in-class employee culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Embody and promote our agency values, enhancing the organizational culture through your actions and a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) perspective.
  • Lead the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding, and conduct new hire orientation to create a stellar new hire experience.
  • Collaborate with community partners to plan and facilitate career fairs and hiring events.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies and best practices.
  • Support employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, benefits fairs, and vaccination clinics.
  • Respond to general leave of absence inquiries, including FMLA and CFRA.
  • Assist in the talent management process, including performance evaluations, goal setting, quarterly check-ins, and professional development initiatives.
  • Maintain employee files and records within the Paycom HRIS system, including new hire data, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention, and promote and attend agency events.
  • Respond to verification of employment requests.
  • Reconcile HR-related invoices and coordinate payments through the Finance department.
  • Conduct exit interviews, share insights with the HR team, participate in retention strategy discussions, and complete the employee off-boarding process.
  • Create weekly and monthly metrics reporting and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition and onboarding.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, best practices, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Paycom.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
