The Saratoga Senior Center is a non-residential community center located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. We serve over 3,000 older adults by providing a social environment with programs tailored to adults and seniors. Our mission is to help seniors maintain an independent lifestyle by offering opportunities to make new friends, participate in healthy living classes, and learn new skills. The Center serves as a hub of social interaction that is essential to the physical and mental well-being of seniors in our community. Our support services include advocacy, aging in place, information and referral, food assistance, transportation, and our Senior Life Transitions program for chronically ill older adults.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Development and Fundraising Director at the Saratoga Senior Center. The Director will be responsible for managing and conducting day-to-day fundraising operations, cultivating and stewarding major donors, developing communication strategies, and producing and managing the annual giving and corporate sponsorship program. The Director will also play a key role in strategic planning for fundraising initiatives. In addition will work hand in hand with the Development and Marketing assistant and play a role in the marketing stategies and execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in cultivating and stewarding major donors, and implementing philanthropy strategies
• Experience building and executing fundraisers
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in annual giving campaigns and donor relations
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for fundraising initiatives
• Experience working with a dinor database
• Knowledge of fundraising laws and regulations
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community stakeholders
• Experience in the nonprofit sector field is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
