Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our patients while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Personal Care Assistant will work closely with our medical team to ensure the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities

- Assist with patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide support with personal hygiene needs, including toileting, incontinence care, and other personal care tasks.
- Monitor and report on patient conditions, including vital signs, medication, and any changes in their condition.
- Assist with mobility and ambulation, including walking, transferring, and using wheelchairs or walkers.
- Perform basic medical procedures, including taking temperatures, blood pressure, and administering injections.
- Participate in patient education, including providing information about medications, treatments, and procedures.
- Assist with transportation and coordination of patient care services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met and care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a Level I or II Trauma Center, Clinic, or Teaching Hospital.
- Strong knowledge of geriatric care and ability to work with patients of all ages.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine and the ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Experience working in an Operating Room (OR) or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
