Our practice consists of 13 physicians, 19 physician assistants/nurse practitioners and over 160 employees providing services at 5 locations. We have an on-site surgery center which was recently awarded #4 in the Nation by Newsweek magazine, and after-hours orthopedic urgent care services 7 days a week. Our Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy team provides services at 4 locations (Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, and Rincon) and athletic training services for the Savannah Chatham County Public School System, Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah Christian Preparatory School, and Bethesda Academy. And while we are the oldest orthopedic practice in Savannah, providing care to patients for over 50 years, we are a young, energetic group of professionals looking for talented people to join our great team! We have earned numerous awards for the Best Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy practice in the region and are excited to welcome new talent to our team!
Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for:
- Following up on unpaid claims until the account balance is zero.
- Contacting patients, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain information necessary for account resolution through write-offs, reversals, adjustments, refunds, or other methods.
- Contacting insurance companies regarding payment status or denials of payments.
- Maintaining basic understanding and knowledge of health insurance plans, policies, and procedures.
- High school graduate.
- Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of insurance reimbursement, including medical billing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, fellow co-workers, and providers.
- Desire and ability to be trained and learn quickly in a team environment.
