HR Manager
Our global manufacturing client (non-union) is opening up a new technology center in Schaumburg, IL and is looking to hire an HR Manager
What you will do:
An experienced HR Manager will focus on a wide variety of HR related duties while working closely with HR leadership and leadership of the future Chicago Tech Center. This position carries out a variety of responsibilities including recruitment/employment, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance. As the organization is expanding their US workforce, there will also be a need for a leader who can navigate the blended cultures of a global team. A leader with a keen eye for process improvement and change management skills will help make the Chicago Tech Center team successful!
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Review and enhance HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
· Serve as HR Business Partner to all levels of management to align HR programs with business goals.
· Lead all Employee Relations including performance management, investigations, etc.
· Guide employees on MBO & Goal Setting Process & System.
· Serve as local point of contact for HR Compliance and Governance.
· Provide Employee Training opportunities and continuing education.
· Create a work environment in which people are motivated, contributing, and engaged.
· Take point on Employee retention activities as teams grow ensuring each person knows they’re valued.
· Administer the HRIS and look for opportunities to advance manual or legacy processes.
· Support recruiting efforts and pre-hire activities.
· Responsible for the new hire process; orientation and assimilation activities, etc.
· Assist with the Compensation Process (annual merit increases, bonuses, etc.)
· Manage and lead special projects as required.
What you bring:
· Degree in Human Resources or a closely related discipline/major.
· Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
· 6-10 years’ HR experience required with some experience at the Manager level preferred.
· Experience with performance management, employee relations, HRIS, recruiting, HR business partnering.
· Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
· Excellent time management and communication skills.
· 2 years of experience with Paycom preferred.
· Ability to operate in a multicultural office environment.
· Mid-level Excel skills preferred.
