This is an entry level position for someone looking for a career in the ever growing commercial construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Sr Estimator to complete assigned tasks on a daily basis
-Tasks include, estimating commercial drywall and acoustical ceiling projects, writing purchase orders, submittals, setting up project budgets for approval, etc.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Utilize software such as OST/QB
- Collaborate with Sr Estimator to develop comprehensive project bids
- Monitor project progress, price changes and adjust estimates as needed
- Review and interpret contracts to ensure compliance with pricing terms
- Set up and turn over projects to the Project Managers to run
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is helpful
- Honorably discharged service men and women are strongly encouraged to apply
- Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, punctuality, and drive to succeed are needed
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately price projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while multi-tasking
