Our Shelby Township, Michigan client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller with RETAIL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE. The Controller is responsible for general accounting, reporting, budgets, forecasts and internal controls. The Controller will lead a small accounting team and be responsible for the daily financial activities of the organization. This position requires an adaptable and flexible professional willing to take on multiple roles.
Responsibilities
- Managing the accounting close.
- Cash flow management.
- Monitoring inventory controls.
- Assisting with budget preparation.
- Acting as an audit liaison.
- Mentoring accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Controller.
- Experience in RETAIL.
- 5 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and preferably a Master's.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience with Sage and/or PowerBI is a nice to have.
- High level of integrity and accuracy, especially under pressure.
