Pine Hill Elementary School is Hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacher Near Sherborn, MA

Pine Hill Elementary School is seeking a 1.0FTE special education teacher to serve as a liaison and service provider for students with disabilities. A successful candidate will have a master's degree, Wilson Certification, and experience providing individualized instruction and assessment across academic and social domains. Competency in administering standardized and criterion-referenced assessments, developing IEPs, and monitoring student progress is essential. Effective strategies for managing and motivating students, facilitating accommodations and modifying curriculum to support access in general education inclusion are paramount to the role. Knowledge of special education laws and procedures and teaching in inclusion/co-teaching models is important. Familiarity with Zones of Regulation Social Thinking Programs and other strategies to help students regulate and organize for effective learning. Additional responsibilities include communication with families, participation in faculty and grade-level team meetings, and curriculum/assessment development using the principles of UDL.The Dover-Sherborn Public Schools are committed to producing graduates who are ready for college, career, and life in a diverse world.
