We are looking for a Controller to join our team in Southaven, Mississippi. In this role, you will be a vital part of our accounting/finance department, working directly with accounting staff at individual operating companies and assisting in the preparation of internal financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This role involves a willingness to travel around the Southeast to other locations.Responsibilities:• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, A/P, General Ledger, Inventory, Revenue Recognition, Payroll, Fixed Assets, etc.• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.• Oversee the production of monthly financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).• Support month-end and year-end close process.• Assist in the preparation of annual budget and forecasts; report significant budget differences to management.• Create and assist in the formulation of Cash Flow forecasting for the operating companies as well as total company roll up.• Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.• Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit.• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.• Assist with preparation of bank reporting package and board presentations.• Research technical accounting issues as needed.• Oversee accounting staff at individual locations.
