Wide Effect Talent Solutions is Hiring a Construction Safety Manager Near Sparks, NV

Summary

This position collaborates with Area Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen. The role involves supporting and implementing our Safety and Health processes to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and goals. This position oversees multiple project sites in Nevada, California, and Hawaii, requiring significant travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee the divisional Safety and Health Program, ensuring it meets or exceeds corporate standards.
  • Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to the corporate office.
  • Manage all administrative tasks related to safety documentation and filing systems.
  • Serve as a resource for field operations on company safety programs and Federal (OSHA), state, and local safety and health regulations.
  • Assist with Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings and indoctrinations.
  • Conduct regular site evaluations, follow up, and track corrections of deficiencies.
  • Attend Tool Box Talks and discussions.
  • Assist with incident investigations and develop learning opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Risk Management to identify claims trends and plan proactive risk management.
  • Assist in delivering and documenting employee training related to their scope of work.
  • Track company safety KPIs using our online safety platform.
  • Perform extensive regional travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of field safety experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Preferred: 2 years of construction safety supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of construction safety and management techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to locate company programs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Skills and Certifications:

  • CHST certification
  • OSHA 510 certification
