MPL Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Sparta, NJ. This position reports to the Assistant Group Leader of Microbiology Testing. The basic function of the Laboratory Technician position is to perform laboratory testing.Responsibilities to include but not limited to:Perform microbiological analysis of customer products as assigned Perform microbiological testing of: cosmetics, personal care, and pharmaceutical products, food and beverages, water and environmental samples, sterile medical devices, and other related productsPerform duties of Laboratory Support and related duties as assignedPerform preventive maintenance on applicable laboratory equipmentLift and carry laboratory equipment, petri dishes, laboratory soft goods, samples and other materials throughout work areas as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science
Prior laboratory experience is a plus
Must have excellent Oral, Written, and Technical Communication
Must have math aptitude
Must be organized and possess the ability to plan day to day duties
Must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
Professional office attire and mannerisms
Must have time management skills
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to climb ladders
