Full Job Description
We are a family-owned salvage yard looking to add a member to our team as a delivery driver. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who can work independently and maintain the quality standards that our customers have come to expect. As a small business, word-of-mouth and positive experiences help our company grow. Delivery drivers are the face of the company and work alongside the sales staff to ensure each part is delivered in quality condition, and on time. In this position, the delivery drivers play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceeding customer expectations, verifying the parts are correct before starting the route, and delivering parts on time to the indicated location. You will work independently, spending the day on the road delivering smiles to our customers.

Approximate hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements:
Eligible to work in the U.S.High School Diploma
Valid Driver’s License in the state of VA (CDL not required)
Must have a positive point rate with the DMV (0-5 points)
Must be able to move parts up to 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation(s)

Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities

• Always drive and operate the company vehicle safely.
• Arrive on time and remain in good attendance standing.
• Use the provided electronic device for routing information, customer delivery information, and payment information when necessary.
• Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions common to Virginia and Maryland.
• Load and Unload parts up to 75 lbs.
• Ensure all deliveries are properly loaded and secured.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while in the presence of customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Interact positively and professionally with customers and the general public while delivering to business locations.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are always clean, fueled, and in good operating condition.
• May assist in training other team members.
• Follow up on customer requests or problems with a solution-oriented approach keeping sales staff informed of updates.

Work Environment

• Drive a delivery truck up to roughly a 100 mile radius to businesses, climb in and out of the truck, walk up and down stairs as required to deliver parts according to established procedures in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility: routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on-road congestion, construction, accidents, and other factors.
• There may be adjustements to the core schedule depending on weather conditions, time of the year, and peak seasons, etc.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
