The pay rate for this job is $20 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Millwright:
- Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other diagrams
- Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical problems occurring on facility systems and equipment
- Perform precision alignment on new and existing machinery
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools
- Perform carpentry and rigging of loads not more than 1 ton
- Plan and document details of working procedures to determine material or replacements needs and improve performance to meet or exceed established benchmarks
- Safely operate forklift, cranes, jibs, lawn powers and other motorized equipment
- Comply with Job Safety Analysis document, follow all safety procedures, and wear appropriate safety equipment
Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of industrial machines and heavy equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and P&ID, block, and ladder diagrams
- Lift up to 40lbs and climb ladders to reach heights in excess of 100ft
- Qualify and use cartridge-type respirators and other required safety equipment
- Proficiency test to include/not limited to welding, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, machining and mobile equipment maintenance
- Drug screening required
