The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Investigator. This position is responsible for providing investigative support related to the investigation and prosecution of cases for attorneys and support staff in the office.
Responsibilities:
This position will support the investigation and prosecution of cases handled by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Locating and communicating with witnesses and victims, including conducting interviews.
· Serving subpoenas.
• Transporting victims and witnesses.
• Retrieval of evidence from appropriate sources.
• Interacting professionally with and responding timely to attorney and staff requests.
• Supporting attorneys in preparation for and at trial.
• Successfully managing a robust investigative caseload.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Communicating effectively in verbal and written communications.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must possess a minimum of high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 3 years of law enforcement/investigator experience, preferably with criminal cases. Must be familiar with general investigative techniques. Prefer experience with the use and function of police, court, and Windows operating systems.
