Job Posting TitleSales Manager
Job Description SummaryLeads commercial activities related to AAM powdered metal, forged and machined product. Develop and attain short-term and long-term goals and use data for successful sales processes, issue identification and business performance improvement.
Job Description
  • Identify new customers by studying sales statistics; estimating sales volume; qualifying potential customers.
  • Develop new customers by establishing new distribution channels; explaining product potential to retailers; identifying possibilities for product improvements and new products.
  • Initiate sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential business; scheduling appointments.
  • Develop sales by making initial presentations; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
  • Develop new applications by preparing specifications in partnership with product engineering.
  • Close sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
  • Contribute information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
  • Contribute to Sales department and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Education
  • College degree or equivalent with strong technical proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Hardworking and Self Directed.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business and basic business finance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Confirmed sales wins preferred
  • Experience in component sales/marketing
  • Experience with sales processes and balancing customer relationships
  • At least 5 years sales experience
  • Powdered metal, forging and/or machining sales experience preferred
