Millis Animal Hospital is looking to add a veterinary technician to our team. We are a busy 8 doctor practice that has served the St. Louis area for over 50 years. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to work in cooperation with their teammates to provide excellent patient care and client communication.

Responsibilities:
- Obtaining patient history and determining the needs of the client
- Medical record keeping and billing
- Filling prescriptions and communicating instructions to clients
- Handling and restraint of animals
- Assisting veterinarians in and out of the exam room
- Venipuncture, radiography, and medication administration
- Client education
- Maintaining a clean and organized workplace

Required skills:
- Prior experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Excellent communication skills
- Electronic medical record keeping proficiency
- Radiology experience
- Venipuncture experience
- Familiarity with basic veterinary pharmaceuticals
- Animal handling and restraint

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
