Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE), the largest auxiliary organization at Stanford University, supports the academic mission of the University by providing high-quality services to students and other members of the university community.
The department has an annual operating budget of over $350M, operates 24 / 7 / 365, and oversees a $3B asset portfolio comprising a 7 million sq.
ft. physical plant across the campus. In autumn quarter of the 2021-22 academic year, R&DE will return to providing housing for over 13,000 students and dependents, serving meals at 17 dining halls, 12 retail locations, and operating athletic concessions and conference operations.
Additionally, R&DE comprises 900 FTE staff in the following divisions : Student Housing Operations, Stanford Dining, Stanford Hospitality & Auxiliaries, Stanford Conferences, Maintenance Operations and Capital Projects, and a team of R&DE strategic business partners : Finance & Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Strategic Communications.

This role is designated as essential and requires incumbents to report to work onsite. Telecommuting is not available for this role.
This series of job classifications describes positions in which the major function is performing cleaning and light maintenance tasks.
Employees perform routine replacement of lamps in light fixtures, repair and replace Venetian blinds, pick up and deliver custodial supplies, etc.
They also carry out other facilities services, such as hauling and setting up furniture and appliances, touch-up painting benches and tables, etc.
Job Responsibilities :
Employees at this level perform a range of light maintenance, repair, installation and laboring tasks using hand and power tools.
Work is scheduled by a supervisor / lead who provides instructions as appropriate; work is reviewed by the supervisor / lead to see whether quality and scheduling requirements have been met.
The employee may work alone or as a member of a crew with or without lead responsibility.

Minimum Education and Experience Required :
One year of relevant work experience or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications :
Ability to operate power and hand tools in a safe manner in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
Certificates and Licenses Required :
Valid California Class C Noncommercial Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.

The expected pay for this position is $33.80 (Step 1) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Internal candidate rates will be applied based on the CBA language for promotion and transfer.
