IT Business Analyst

The Opportunity:

You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as an IT business analyst, you’re highly skilled in both. Here, you’ll have the chance to work with an agile team as they develop digital products to support your clients’ most pressing geospatially-enabled missions. We’re looking for someone like you to propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.
As an IT business analyst, you’ll develop leading-edge applications, websites, systems, and products. Partnering with your team of architects, developers, testers, fellow business analysts, DevSecOps engineers, data scientists, and geospatial subject matter experts and leading product owners content strategists, and meteorological and oceanographic scientific experts, you’ll identify clients’ business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you’ll lead your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll deliver high business value products to DoD civilians and warfighters.

You Have:

  • 4 years of experience in developing software requirements, use cases, and supporting documentation

  • Experience in the development, deployment, or use of geospatial information systems, such as Esri ArcGIS, or GeoServer supporting commercial or DoD projects

  • Experience working in cross-functional, Agile teams to design large-scale digital experiences that meet business objectives

  • Experience serving in a client-facing role

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project time-lines and continual client delivery

  • Top Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with wireframing, and prototyping tools, such as Axure, Balsamiq, Figma, or Sketch

  • Experience with facilitating stakeholder interviews, creating personas, user journeys, and user observations

  • Experience with managing a small team of analysts

  • Experience working with the Military

  • Experience with Meteorological and Oceanographic sciences

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science

  • Industry certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
