Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Mancan is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a Shipping / Receiving Dock Person.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to :

Performing general shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions.

Controlling all aspects of inspecting, weighing, storing, and moving materials entering and leaving the facility.

Maintaining inventory control, including identification, verification, inputting, and auditing of information into the inventory system.

Reviewing and comparing packing slips, packaging instructions, and shipping labels.

Recording receipt of goods and managing all shipping functions, including receipts and shipments.

Preparing daily shipments and receiving documentation and safely loading trucks, trailers, and sea containers via forklift.

Maintaining inventory of shipping supplies and preparing order requisitions to ensure adequate stock.

Managing customer-owned warehousing inventory and reconciling monthly receipts and shipments.

Being proficient in various forms and documentation required by major freight carriers for domestic and international shipments.

Maintaining knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and certifications for shipping dangerous goods.

Assisting in implementing improvements within the supply chain management and material tracking systems.

Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, following safety regulations, and conducting site security inspections per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) guidelines.

Requirements :

Two-year associated degree or equivalent experience.

One to two years of experience in a supply chain or manufacturing setting preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word) and basic office equipment.

Ability to learn and adapt to additional software programs as needed.

Superior listening, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail and strong math skills.

Understanding of inventory management, export control, and shipping / receiving documentation concepts is a plus.

Safe forklift operating experience is a must, along with proficiency in other material handling equipment.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and national criminal background check.

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications :

Valid state driver's license.

High school diploma or GED.

Must be dependable and reliable.
