Full Circle Recovery is Hiring a Mental Health Counselor Near Steubenville, OH

Position: Mental Health Clinician

The successful candidate will monitor and provide direct clinical care to the clients of Clinic Security and Logistics, Inc. The successful candidate must triage care for clients and consult with the appropriate staff as necessary and within their licensure standards to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained for all clients.

Primary Duties:

  • Complete assigned individual sessions 3 days per week in-person and two days per week via telehealth – facilitating group will not be a requirement of this position.
  • Capture 30 expected clinical service hours per week.
  • Efficiently complete required documentation for billable and non-billable services.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist clients in adhering to treatment plans.
  • Counsel clients in individual sessions to assist them in dealing with mental health and its relation to substance abuse.
  • Assist clients in understanding, problem solving and navigating barriers to independence and long-term recovery through education, advocacy and linkage to resources.
  • Educate clients and community members about mental and physical illness, abuse, medication, and available community resources.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress concerning treatment goals.
  • Utilize the DSM-V in diagnosing and evidence-based practices.
  • Refer client to community resources for housing or treatment to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness following through to ensure service efficacy.
  • Attend and participate in continuing education, online training, and staff meetings.
  • Educate clients by providing direction and guidance in a professional manner.
  • Model pro-social behaviors and effective interpersonal interactions.
  • Cultivate an effective and respectful rapport with clients and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client’s pertinent health information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical guidelines and principles as established by licensing board and state law.
  • Maintain CE requirements and licensure.
  • Perform other duties as requested within the LSW or LPC licensure standards.
  • All clinicians are required to attend, engage, and adhere to board specific supervision expectations for licensure.
  • All clinicians must consult the client's treatment team, including substance abuse counselors, case managers, medical staff, and management, to provide continuity of care and services for mutual clients.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LSW, LISW, LISW-S or LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S in the State of Ohio.
  • Experience working with the mental health and substance abuse population preferred.
  • Experience using de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Must carry out detailed written and oral instructions, along with the ability to understand human behavior.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with emotionally charged individuals and issues.
  • Must effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse demographic group.
  • Must be able to work harmoniously with others.
  • Must be able to make decisions at times with imperfect information.
  • Must be able to write reports and correspondence.
  • Must have effective listening and communication skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable of clinical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Mental Health and Addiction Services.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to 50lbs.

Pay: $30-$32 per hour
