Comfort Keepers is Hiring a Caregiver Near Stevensville, MD

Job SummaryComfort Keepers is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care services to our clients. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in helping elderly and disabled individuals maintain their independence and quality of life. This is a part-time, hourly position in the healthcare/medical industry, located in Stevensville, Maryland, and surrounding cities. This is an individual contributor role, where you will work one-on-one with clients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
  • Administer medications as instructed by the client's healthcare provider
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of client's care, daily activities, and changes in condition
  • Monitor and report any physical or emotional concerns to the client's family and professional caregivers
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social events as needed
  • Complete light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and dishes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in caregiving or a related field
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Willingness to adhere to all policies and procedures of Comfort Keepers and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Must be physically and emotionally fit to perform job duties, including lifting up to 25 pounds and bending, twisting, and kneeling
