Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Sequencing Department’s Sequencers are responsible for receiving cabinetry parts from our Prep and Finish departments and perform a quality control audit on them. It is because of our Sequencer’s attention to detail and ability to repair minor defects that the cabinetry parts can flow through to the next stage of the production.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Ability to read and comprehend paperwork, including our itemized list.
  • Ability to use part tracking system.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Perform a quality control audit on all parts.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs on product defects.
  • Ability to fill out quality control reject receipts on parts that need reworked.
  • Dedication to keeping a clean and well stocked working environment.
  • Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Measuring skills on a tape measure to nearest 1/16th of an inch.
  • Basic mathematical understanding.

  • Punctuality.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Prior woodworking or cabinetry experience is preferred but not required.
Prior finish or sanding experience is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces on an occasional basis.
  • Remain constantly standing in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one workstation to another on an occasional basis.
  • Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
    • Constant movement of objects up to 50 pounds.
    • Occasional movement of objects up to 100 pounds.
  • Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
  • Occasional exposure to noisy environments.
  • Occasional exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous materials, specifically chemical hazards in the form of glues, solvents, lacquers, and varnishes.

JOB LOCATION:

Sullivan, Illinois.

PAY SCALE:

$16.00 to $20.00 an hour. This is based on experience with the potential to increase at 30/90-day performance reviews.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM. (40 hours a week).
