Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), with a mission to honor and serve older adults as an expression of Christ’s love, does so with eight continuing-care retirement communities in Texas. Affiliated with MRC and located in Texarkana, Cornerstone Retirement Community, is a leader in continuing care retirement living offering independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and home health.

We are looking for an Assisted Living Director. This position will lead a team of dedicated staff to provide the best possible hospitality and residential living in Cornerstone’s 15- unit Assisted Living and 36-unit Memory Support. This position will oversee all aspects, including staff and operations. The Assisted Living Director will also work closely with marketing to appropriately convey the unit's residential living offers and benefits to prospective residents and their supporting family members.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in social work or a related human service, or combination of related experience and education.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in community-based programs for older persons with at least one-year supervisory experience.
• Possess an Assisted Living Certification or ability to obtain as required by regulation.
• Models ICARE Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
• Current nursing license is a plus but not required.
• Ability to be on call, and occasionally work nights, weekends and holidays.
