Our Tomahawk, WI plant manufactures, finishes, and ships composite and plastic parts to our final assembly plants. Join us as an Engineer in Advanced Manufacturing.
Position SummaryThe Engineer Advanced Manufacturing will work collaboratively with Product Development and Manufacturing to yield innovative products and processes. This role supports and delivers the Life Cycle Plan from concept to production and influences designs related to paint schemes and stylized surfaces. The role involves problem-solving with integrated manufacturing systems, standardized processes, risk assessment, and after-action reviews.
Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate working knowledge and experience in Design for Manufacturing, including part design, fixture development, robotic paint lines, and application processes. Experience in a highly automated paint environment is preferred.
  • Apply project management skills to analyze and drive metrics for critical decisions, creating and maintaining large-scale project budgets.
  • Impact the quality of work using Just-In-Time (JIT) and Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement system, etc.).
  • Solve problems related to development processes, procedures, and parts by analyzing solutions using technical experience and judgment with moderate guidance.
  • Provide informal guidance to new Advanced Manufacturing team members and impact the work of others within the group.
  • Effectively communicate complex information involving best practices with suppliers to others.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group or team and provide guidance to new team members.
  • Experience in overseeing medium to large-scale projects from concept to development.
