Our client, a construction company in Tarrytown, NY, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The
Staff Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the team, reporting directly to the
Operations Manager. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, extremely successful,
high energy company.
Responsibilities:
ꞏ Reviews & enters all incoming bills & invoices in a timely manner.
ꞏ Works with all personnel in the cost coding and approval of job-related invoices
ꞏ Process Weekly Payroll
ꞏ Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements.
obtaining authorization of payment.
ꞏ Monitors and reconciles credit card charges, including payment discrepancies, refunds, returns
and miscellaneous charges.
ꞏ Assists with weekly cash reporting.
ꞏ Works with vendors to resolve any billing issues.
ꞏ Assists with reports for quarterly and year end reporting.
ꞏ Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
ꞏ Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
ꞏ Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
ꞏ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Desired qualifications:
ꞏ BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
ꞏ Proficient in Sage 100 (a must), Excel, Word & Outlook
ꞏ Must be a highly organized detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and
within a team environment
ꞏ Must have strong oral and written communication skills
ꞏ Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
ꞏ Ability to execute and follow-through on multiple tasks simultaneously
ꞏ Highly motivated, strong sense of urgency
The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000.00 - $95,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
