ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Through the QA process identify training/educational needs in long-term care and facility-wide if it impacts patient care. Create, implement and facilitate programmatic training and education.
- Plans, coordinates and conducts, in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, orientation for newly hired staff.
- Plans, coordinates and conducts ongoing educational programs including dementia training, dining assistance training, etc. and any additional training that supports culture change and person-centered care.
- Coordinates and facilitates quality assurance activities related to identifying clinical indicators and trends.
- Coordinates and implements ongoing educational programs for staff regarding regulatory guidelines and survey readiness.
- Expected to make a personal commitment to the success of the nursing operation and ultimately to Stella Maris, patients/residents, families and staff.
- Maryland RN License; BSN preferred, CPR
- Thorough understanding of long term care regulations
- Sub-Acute/ Rehab experience, highly preferred
- Minimum 3 years of progressive education experience
