Food Management Search is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Topeka, KS

Position: Quality Manager
Location: Topeka, KS
Type: Full-Time
Position Description: 
The Quality Manager will act in the capacity to develop and maintain site specific quality systems, supports the entire manufacturing team to ensure that all products produced at the facility exceeds company and client standards. 
Primary Functions: 
  • Demonstrates high leadership qualities to uphold the positive corporate culture at all times
  • Understands and adheres to the corporate and facilities rules, safe guidelines and protocols, all policies and procedures
  • Provides guidance to partnering teams on product positioning and presentations
  • Prepares all required QA reports and reviews reports with clients and DOQ or COO
  • Proactively engages and resolves for needs in quality solutions with all stake holders, internally and externally 
  • Leads the teams in preparation and representation during client and 3rd party audits
  • Audits and creates quality related guidelines and procedures as needed
  • Stands in the capacity of a project manager for matter of refused and returned product, guiding the appropriate team members on resolution handling. 
  • Leads new hire onboarding and continuing education sessions on topics of quality control guidelines and standards 
  • Required travel to visit other company facilities, corporate meetings and conferences as needed. Travel can be multiple days at a time. 
  • Responsible for all Quality department duties and team members, includes but not limited to: hiring, training, planning, resolution & delegation of duties and tasks, disciplinary actions, performance and merit reviews. 
  • Knowledge of departmental budgetary and expenditure plans and proposals a plus

Quality Manager Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer 2 year technical degree in related field
  • 3 years applied experience
  • 5 years of experience working in a supervisory capacity suitable equivalent for listed education
