Job Summary :

Truck Drivers at Waste Management are responsible for operating various types of trucks used in hauling waste and recyclables.

Their primary role is to ensure that all materials are transported safely, efficiently, and on time to the appropriate disposal facilities or recycling centers.

Responsibilities :

• Operate different types of trucks and heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, roll-offs, and compactors, based on the specific job requirement.
• Ensure the collection and transport of waste as scheduled, minimizing disruptions to services.
• Monitor waste collection processes to ensure all safety measures are followed.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and route managers to improve route efficiencies and resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational capability of the assigned vehicle, performing standard vehicle maintenance.
• Manage route documentation, keeping accurate records of work orders, route details, and condition reports.

Qualifications :

• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) required.
• Proven work experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Familiarity with the operation of heavy-duty trucks and the handling of hazardous materials.
• Strong attention to safety practices and compliance with regulations to secure cargo and avoid accidents.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job including manual lifting and operation of equipment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
