The role involves supporting the digital marketing strategy for plant breeding. You will assist in driving content ideation, development, curation, and distribution to educate, inform, and delight growers and retailers.
Responsibilities
- Drive the editorial process from ideation to distribution, ensuring quality and timely delivery of content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop quarterly editorial calendars, repurpose content, and manage relationships with content creators.
- Review content for editorial and publishing readiness and compliance.
- Ensure content aligns with the overall content marketing strategy, editorial guidelines, stylesheet, and brand voice.
- Administer custom CMS and ensure flawless content management and data hygiene.
- Optimize content according to SEO with keen attention to detail.
- Prepare content distribution for social channels.
- Monitor user performance engagement metrics and prepare monthly reports.
- Contribute to the content marketing strategy to reach traffic goals and promote a consistent brand identity.
- Provide feedback on continuous improvement of the editorial process, content, and system performance.
- Background in Journalism or production skills (news, media, TV, online magazine).
- 2 to 3 years of SEO copywriting, editing, proofreading, and blogging.
- Experience with digital content creation and manipulation for targeted media (blogs, YouTube, channels, etc.).
- Project management and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to capture and retain attention in digital media.
- Leadership and project management skills.
- Content management system proficiency.
- Creative and graphic design skills (Canva preferred).
