Insight Global is Hiring an Electrical Engineer (Battery Management Systems) Near Troy, MI
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a cutting edge team with one of the leading manufacturers of lithium-ion batteries in Michigan. At a high level this group is responsible for developing battery management systems that are leveraged in EV’s. This includes the hardware design, software development, and long-term reliability of these systems. The Electrical Engineer will be apart of the hardware team responsible for developing the schematics and circuit design for the Battery Management System. Working alongside stakeholders, they will review requirements, schematics, and supplier documentation to confirm request feasibility. Once approved they will support the development and execution of the microprocessor until it makes it into production. This can include technical design reviews both internally and externally, along with supporting quality and reliability efforts.
Must Haves:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of experience designing automated release control modules with embedded software to support network connectivity and diagnostics
- Strong understanding of PCB layout and regulations for Automotive Applications
- Working experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEA, 8D, APQP)
Pluses:
- Battery Management System experience
- Experience with High Voltage DC electrical Design
- Understanding on IS 26262 principals
- Prior experience supporting OEM product releases
