Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Management:
- Develop and align annual budgets with the district's strategic objectives.
- Prepare and manage financial reports while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on state financial reporting obligations and budget revisions.
- Administer finance and accounting systems while adhering to established guidelines.
- Lead financial analysis and provide reports to senior management and the Governing Board.
- Manage grant funding and construction project finances from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance financial operations and compliance.
- Engage with school leaders to review financial status and support budget planning.
- Act as a liaison in meetings with benefits providers and manage communications on employee benefits.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the finance team to enhance operational efficiency and professional growth.
- Proactively investigate financial discrepancies or fraud and implement preventive measures.
- Undertake special audits or reviews as requested by the Superintendent.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of finance experience within an educational or governmental setting.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills; Master's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of governmental/fund accounting and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Experience with career and technical education funding is beneficial.
