KeySpin Manufacturing is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Merrimack, NH

Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYMachine operators manufacture and inspect components using CNC machinery, manual equipment; hand gages and inspection equipment; including Optical Comparators, Measuring Microscope and CMM equipment. Production and inspection is documented within the KeySpin Manufacturing Quality System requirements; which was developed to meet customer expectations for quality.
Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC equipment to fabricate components using set-up sheets, shop orders/Device History records, inspection documentation and part specifications/drawings to fabricate parts to print.
  • Depending upon experience, perform partial or full equipment set ups and change overs between part families and dissimilar parts.
  • Perform in process and final inspections according to instructions/documentation using facility’s inspection equipment.
  • Complete all required documentation according to Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform document review function for other employees.
  • Verify raw materials are issued to the shop order according to the Bill of Materials and lot number/heat numbers are documented accordingly.
  • Set up and operate manual machines; primarily for tool maintenance and grinding a lead in for bar stock.
  • Perform all offset adjustments on the CNC equipment to maintain dimensional integrity. Assess and trouble shoot set-ups and programs when required.
  • Use advanced shop math to assist in all aspects of the job.
  • Perform machine maintenance activities; maintain prescribed machine logs.
  • Cross Trained with Production Technician responsibilities, including, Deburring and processing all components through established cleaning procedures and equipment; completing and maintaining all logs and documentation.
  • Ensure all inspection gages and equipment are in calibration before use.
  • Comply with all shop floor work rules including those pertaining to safety, environmental controls and quality systems.
  • Ensure Machine shop area is clean and orderly.
  • Ensure training is completed and documented on applicable work instructions before performing the prescribed job or activity.
  • Maintain line clearance between jobs, only work on one part at a time. Segregate all scrap. Always be aware of the potential for part mix ups.
  • Communicate to management any unusual or increase in frequency part non-conformances.
  • Depending upon experience and skill level, assist in training other machinists on CNC machining techniques and proper inspection methods.
