Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the compensation department. Ensures internal job equity and external competitiveness while adhering to the company’s over-arching compensation philosophy. Provide analytical expertise, interpretation of various compensation policies and related regulations. Optimize functionality of compensation processes within the human capital management system and oversee advanced compensation processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Team meetings will be held in person although the day-to-day operations will be performed remotely.
Position Responsibilities
Manages daily activities of the compensation department. This includes administration and interpretation of compensation policies and guidelines.
Oversees the administration of compensation programs. Plans, coordinates, facilitates, and reports on the annual salary review program for regular staff employees, incentive plans, staff bonuses, the merit increase process, union increases and retention bonuses.
Ensures completion of periodic wage analysis to ensure market competitiveness on all compensation programs. Conduct market pricing, job slotting, and managing salary administration within Virtua’s pay model Evaluate survey data to determine competitive position regarding jobs and salary structures and recommends adjustments.
Collaborate with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to build relationships with business line managers, develop understanding of business needs and concerns, and recommend appropriate compensation solutions and/or alternatives for consideration. Assist HR and business leaders with questions concerning compensation policies and practices.
Collaborate with HR Technology team to optimize utilization of human capital management system for compensation functions and processes. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and educate colleagues on changes.
Manage project planning components relating to compensation program administration, development, and/or re-design.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in design and/or administration of compensation programs. Significant knowledge of compensation policies, practices and procedures. Strong analytical skills and Excel skills required. Must be able to work independently and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines. Workday experience preferred.
Previous management experience preferred.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Training / Certification / Licensure:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
