Description

Role:
The role of the Teller position is to ensure that his/her actions and knowledge are always directed toward member service. This is particularly important, as the teller is often the person who has the most contact with Credit Union members.

Experience
One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills
Friendliness, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information, which may require some discussion.
Other Skills
Strong personal computer skills including data entry including knowing how to turn a computer on and off, what buttons on the mouse perform which functions. Ability to create and log into an email account and send and receive messages. Ability to use a ten key calculator by touch.
Physical Requirements
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is important to impart detailed or important oral information accurately and quickly to other workers and the public. Must also have the ability to perceive sounds and words through oral communication. Ability to exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally and lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Involves standing most of the time but may involve walking or sitting for brief periods of time.
Work Environment
Work is generally performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. Exposure to ambient office equipment noise such as computers, telephone, and conversations between coworkers and members.
