Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated full-time seasonal Receiving Clerk that is responsible for receiving all incoming shipments while checking the quality and storage of all food & beverage items as well as other hotel items.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work holidays & weekends. JOB DUTIES : Reports directly to Purchasing Assistant.
Receives and inspects all incoming food and beverage items as well as all incoming mail shipments. Assist with keeping kitchen storage areas clean and organized.
Check received products against billed invoice. Organize and expedite Fed Ex, UPS, & third party deliveries by department.
Label, date, and perform storage rotation of food items to avoid spoilage and control waste. Keep the storeroom and loading dock neat and clean.
Know all safety and emergency procedures. Report all safety hazards to security and / or engineering department. Assist with storing chemicals in a safe and non-hazardous space.
Keep beer & wine room clean and organized. Check wine area for inventory and restock as needed. Keep the soda room clean and organized.
Change soda bibbs for each outlet as needed. Rotate and check dates on all soda products including bibb and soft drinks.
Document and discard all outdated products. Build bar boxes according to the daily Banquet Event Order. Additional job duties may be requested from the Food & Beverage managers.
