Job Title: Member Services
Position Summary:
This position will consistently deliver outstanding service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs. Consistently promotes memberships through the engagement of our patrons. Maintains a clean, safe and organized facility for member satisfaction and retention.
Essential Functions
· Implements membership strategies that support recruitment of new members and retention of existing members. Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
· Promotes membership and program enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members.
· Ensures proper implementation of welcome center administrative procedures. This includes but not limited to; answering phones, taking messages, handling membership procedures, giving tours, washing towels, and engagement of members as they walk through the door.
· Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events, when needed.
· Help maintain the facility. This includes but also not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, and other duties that may be assigned.
· Actively participates in staff meetings and/or related trainings.
· Open and close the facility with its respected procedures.
· Maintain accurate membership records and reports
· Responsible for the balancing of end-of-shift reports.
· Must have strong communication skills, practical and strong decision-making skills, versatility, initiative and strong human relations skills.
· To communicate a positive attitude to all members, program participants and staff.
· To accept additional responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate in order to help the YMCA accomplish its Mission.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
