Job Summary:

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient handling and movement of inventory across warehouses. This role involves verifying inventory data, conducting regular counts, and liaising with various departments to support smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a manufacturing atmosphere, including in hot conditions, and capable of offloading chemicals daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Verification:

• Verify B panels against saw reports from both warehouses daily.
• Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Data Entry:

• Accurately input B panel information into corresponding bundle numbers in NetSuite.

Labeling and Positioning:

• Ensure that B-panel bundles are appropriately labeled and positioned within the lot for clear visibility of bundle numbers.

Inventory Transfers:

• Create inventory transfers in NetSuite to record the movement of inventory between plants.

Receiving Inventory:

• Receive delivered inventory in NetSuite and inspect to ensure it matches purchase orders and packing slips.
• Attach supporting documents to the Item Receipts.

Inventory Counts and Reconciliation:

• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies found.

Corrective Actions:

• Take appropriate corrective actions to address the root causes of inventory discrepancies.

Stock Level Monitoring:

• Monitor items with low stock levels and alert the relevant department accordingly.

Warehouse Layout:

• Enhance warehouse layout and storage techniques to maximize space utilization and accessibility.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Purchasing and Accounting departments, as well as warehouse personnel.

Audit Support:

• Provide support during inventory audits.

Manufacturing Environment:

• Be comfortable working in a manufacturing atmosphere, including in hot conditions.

Chemical Handling:

• Offload chemicals daily as part of the inventory management process.

Pulling Accessories

• Efficiently pulling accessories for outgoing shipments. Labeling packages/skids clearly. Conducting quality checks and maintaining communication with the Shipping Department.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies and handle data accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
• Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting and moving inventory items, and offloading chemicals daily.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including in hot conditions.
